Hunting, nature and a way of understanding life

I am Jerónimo Cuesta, founder of Cinegetics, a hunter from the cradle through family tradition. For over 30 years, I have been traversing mountains and wild landscapes, and for more than 8 years, I have combined my passion for hunting with photography and videography.

Today, I dedicate myself entirely to transmitting a message: to show that hunting has much more to do with life than with death; the connection with nature, freedom, effort, patience, observation, respect, and all those values and experiences that happen long before and after the shot has taken place. Hunting is unfiltered nature.

A few years ago, the winds of fate led me to live thousands of kilometers away from Spain. That distance helped me find the true meaning of my life, and upon returning, I decided to dedicate as much time as possible to what truly filled my soul: hunting and nature.

Photography and video came later as an extraordinary tool to share that passion. I found in them a vehicle capable of uniting those of us who feel a fascination for nature and for the increasingly scarce wild places in our world. A camera can become the thread that connects an experience lived in the mountains with someone who has never been able to witness it from the inside.

That is why I keep roaming its corners, camera in hand, trying not to miss a thing. Every landscape, every animal, every sunrise, every wait, and every small detail becomes part of a story I want to preserve. I feel like a kid in a toy store, overwhelmed by all the stimuli that nature offers, trying to take it all away with me to relive it later and start thinking about when I will return.

Cinegetics is born from that need to live, observe, feel, and tell. Through audiovisual reports, photographs, and reflections, I try to give a voice to the most passionate, romantic, and sentimental side of hunting; that less visible part that speaks of respect, tradition, adventure, friendship, and a deep admiration for nature.

Because despite these modern times, the mountain will still be there, true to its own rules, guarding its treasures, and I want to be a witness to the stories it hides.

And as long as I can, I will keep walking through it, building memories and trying to show the world that hunting has much more to do with life than with death.

Come and join me in my endless search, always Into the Wild.
